Marie Ishimwe Kresbach

Marie Ishimwe Kresbach is a Rwandan‑born author and survivor of the 1994 genocide against the Tutsi. She grew up in Rwandan and lost many family members in the violence before escaping to Germany, where she later settled with her family. Kresbach’s life story of survival, faith, and resilience is recounted in her book “Steh auf, mein Kind, und geh!” – a powerful testimony to overcoming trauma and finding freedom and forgiveness after unimaginable hardship.
