Nuclear power at war
The Russian attack on Ukraine, along with many other disruptions in the field of military technology and European security in general, has also led to the new experience of civilian nuclear power plants being affected by acts of war in an interstate war. The nuclear facilities on both sides of the front appear in many roles: as infrastructure endangered by acts of war, as a nuclear threat in place of nuclear weapons, as an object of military occupation, as a pledge of negotiations, as an object of fear in hybrid communication warfare.
The lecture will outline the problem area and make some suggestions on how to deal with this form of disruption.
