Angesichts der russischen Invasion in der Ukraine sind Regierungen in ganz Europa mit der Fragilität ihrer Verteidigung konfrontiert. Diese Unsicherheit betrifft in diesem Fall jedoch nicht nur das Militär, sondern auch den Energiesektor und die Lieferketten. Kurz gesagt: Die Krise betrifft alle Bereiche unseres öffentlichen und privaten Lebens.
Der Vortrag zielt darauf ab, die Bedeutung von Sicherheit in einer zunehmend vernetzten Welt zu untersuchen und die Möglichkeiten und Grenzen der Informationstechnologie anzusprechen, um unsere Gesellschaften und Demokratien nicht nur sicherer, sondern auch widerstandsfähiger gegenüber plötzlichen Veränderungen zu machen.
In light of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, governments across Europe are confronted with the fragility of their defense. Yet, insecurity in this case not only touches upon the military, but also the energy sector and supply chains too. In short, the crisis affects all areas of our public and private lives.
This talk aims to explore the meaning of security in an increasingly interconnected world, and will address the opportunities and limits of information technology in making our societies and democracies not only safer, but also more resilient in the face of sudden change.
